Fraudulent Representation

For way too long I have been seeing other way too many other carpet cleaning companies displaying the “GREEN SEAL™” Fraudulently representing themselves as members in good standingas Certified Firms. I know this because I did some research and the cost for getting a company certified by “GREEN SEAL” is $3000 for the first year and $1200.00 every year there after for the smallest of firms doing under $200,000.00 in green services. Further, there are only a hand full of cleaners, other than several larger franchises, that area certified and those are jantorial companies that provide government services.

Several Years ago, My Carpet Cleaning Service, www.MCC-Service.com, started looking into Green Cleaning, I wasn’t too impressed, though it was green, it wasn’t that clean. However, I still carried Green Label products as well as my Hypo-Allergenic line of products. I would use the green when possible, but conventional cleaning products whenever the outcome of the cleaning was questionable

On a side note, let’s not fool ourselves most premium carpet cleaning products used by true professionals are
1. Low V.O.C.
2. Non Toxic
3. Child Safe
4. Pet Safe
5. Phosphate Free

Most important of all, I practiced Green procedures;
1. Buying products in bulk; less use of resources and waist
2. Recycling beverage and product containers at the shop instead of throwing away at the customer’s home r jobsite
3. Pre-vacuuming; resulting in using less pre-sprays,
4. Mechanical brushing; resulting in using less Water and Rinsing agent and Gas/ Electricity running the extraction equipment
5. Finally, we have Been Rinsing with Free Rinsing Green Products for quite a while Whenever Possible!

But now, they have put the Clean in Green Cleaning and I am starting to become a true believer! More and more cleaners, such as me are going greener and greener. I have been trying out a product and I am about to start the use of the all Green “GREEN SEAL™” product in my new multi-location accounts because of the health concerns of the elderly tenets in the buildings.

And soon, I will be able to post a “GREEN SEAL” LOGO, but not the fraudulent one that these other carpet cleaners have been displaying for years. Green Seal has just started a new program for companies like mine that are registered with GREEN SEAL that use Certified GREEN SEAL Products to show their Professionalism and shared concern for the environment.
